International Women's Day: A Personal Story

Once upon a time, I wanted to become a man. I was raised to believe that a man is more capable of a lot of things than a woman. As a woman, I was taught that I am weak, vulnerable, and fragile.

So I strived to be as less girly as I could and tried my best to be self-sufficient. I kept everyone at arm's length and made sure no one sees how vulnerable I am. I achieved a lot with this mentality, but at the end of the day, there was still something missing in my heart.

Looking back, this was also the time I rejected Rose Quartz because it holds the Yin energy and symbolizes gentleness and unconditional love. I didn't see the power of unconditional love, forgiveness, and vulnerability until I started my own spiritual journey with crystals and Reiki.

I accepted the part of me that I have been denying for so long. I learned that femininity and masculinity are not two separate concepts, but a spectrum within us. We don’t need to choose one over the other. Instead, we can embrace them as a whole. I didn't know that I'd gain more by embracing the feminine side of me.

I learned how to accept and give love to people without judgment and expectations. Without this, I don't think I'd be here sharing my light with you. So now I encourage you to embrace the femininity within you too. It's not a weakness - it's the greatest strength you can ever find.
